Vendor Categories and Fees

Corporate Vendor

What's Included:

10 x 10 booth space. businesses with an existing retail location. I.e. Retail and grocery stores, financial institutions, realtors, professional services, fitness centers, travel agencies, franchises, restaurants, attractions and telecommunications companies. You will get a 10x10 space for 3 days, and a banquet style table included in this booth fee.

Food Truck

What's Included: 

Food truck or trailer space to serve food and/or Non-Alcoholic Drinks. Since we are a African Festival we only allow food vendors who are selling African food. We provide electricity with this booth fee. You will be required to fill out the Alberta Health Services Food Form with registration or your registration would be considered incomplete. Please read the Rules of engagement page before registering as it contains very important information about operating at our event.

Nonprofit / Government Agency

What's Included: 

10 x 10 booth space. Organization with not-for-profit or charitable status and Government Agencies. Please note this rate is not available for international non for profits.

Food Vendor

What's Included:

10x15 Space Serving Food and/or Non-Alcoholic Drinks. Food booths are for those interested in selling food or drinks. Food and Drinks must be African focused. Space is very limited and in high demand. Festival supplies you with a 10x10 marquee tent, a 5x10 space behind your tent, a shared 3 compartment sink, 50 amps of power, cold and hot water. You will be required to fill out the Alberta Health Services Food Form with registration or your registration would be considered incomplete. Please read the Rules of engagement page before registering as it contains very important information about operating at our event

Small Business Vendor

What's Included: 

Community small business, 10 x 10 booth space. businesses with an existing retail location and small community business. You will get a 10x10 space for 3 days, and a banquet style table included in this booth fee.

Application Process

1. Hold valid business licenses and required permits

2. Comply with City of Calgary health, safety, and fire regulations

3. Carry appropriate insurance coverage

4. Operate within assigned spaces and festival guidelines

5. Maintain professional conduct and presentation

1. AfricFest website and social media channels

2. Digital marketing and community outreach

3. Media coverage and post-event reporting

4. On-site signage and festival programs

1. Complete the official vendor application form

2. Submit required documentation

3. Await confirmation and onboarding information

Thank you for your interest in participating in the 2026 African Cultural Festival (August 7–9).

To be considered, vendors must
submit their expression of interest no later than April 30, 2026.

Selection Timeline:
•    A shortlist of vendors will be
finalized in the first week of April 2026.
•    Successful vendors will be notified directly via email.

Payment Schedule:
•    A
non-refundable deposit of $250 is required by April 30, 2026 to secure your space.
•    Full payment must be completed by
May 31, 2026.

Please note that vendor spaces are limited. Selection will be based on quality, product uniqueness, cultural relevance, and alignment with the festival experience.

We encourage early submission, as demand is expected to be high.
