AfricFest Calgary is the premier African cultural festival in Calgary, dedicated to showcasing African excellence and conviviality. This free-admission event celebrates African heritage through music, art, food, fashion, and community engagement. 🎶 Live Music & DJs – 4 DJs and 6 live performances featuring diverse African sounds
💃 Cultural Dances – 4 African dance groups engaging the crowd with traditional and contemporary moves
🍽 Food Experience – 10+ African restaurants and caterers offering authentic cuisine
👗 Fashion Show – A stunning showcase of African fashion, styles, and designers
📖 Poetry & Spoken Word – 4 captivating African poets performing on stage
🎤 Educational Talks – 2 engaging discussions on African history, culture, and impact

Who Attends AfricFest?
AfricFest welcomes everyone – families, professionals, students, and community members of all backgrounds. Whether you're exploring African culture for the first time or celebrating your heritage, there’s something for every age and interest.
How Does AfricFest Work?
Through Donations, Community Volunteers, Grants, Media:
Vendor Marketplace – Attendees explore booths to purchase food, clothing, art, and handmade crafts.
Live Performances – Continuous music, dance, and cultural showcases throughout the day.
Interactive Areas – Spaces for community engagement, storytelling, and hands-on cultural experiences.
Vendor Information:
Vendor Registration Fees:
🍴 Food Booth (10’ x 10’): $400
🎨 Crafts and clothing Vendors (10’ x 10’): $200
Vendor Responsibilities:
Vendors must provide their own products, food, supplies, and staff.
Setup & takedown are the vendor’s responsibility.
Unloading Area: Limited to 20 minutes (strictly enforced).
Food Vendors: Shared three-compartment sinks with hot water provided (1 per 2 vendors or per double booth).
Make sure to clean the booth

✔ Weather Considerations: Event will proceed rain or shine – dress accordingly!
✔ Payment Options: Most vendors accept cash, credit/debit, and e-transfers.
