More Than Just a Festival

The African Cultural Festival (AfricFest) is a large-scale, outdoor cultural festival celebrating the diversity, heritage, and contemporary expressions of African cultures. AfricFest features music, dance, fashion, food, storytelling, arts, crafts, and interactive cultural experiences in a vibrant, family-friendly environment.

Following the success of AfricFest 2025, which welcomed over 5,000 attendees in one day, the City of Calgary has approved AfricFest 2026 as a three-day festival with projected attendance of 10,000+ visitors across the weekend.
